For putting on a guitar amplifier, probably not awful? When recording rock-and-roll, many of us utilize the Shure SM57/58. This appears to be similar microphone in type. So it will probably to a more than adequate job for you. It's certainly won't overload. Very few dynamic microphones overload from excessive sound pressure level. Although I am not intimately familiar with, nor have I used this particular microphone, it should be perfectly adequate.
A reasonable choice for putting on guitar amplifiers, drums, vocals.
What I'd like to know is, where's my pizza?
