What's up everybody? Here's the deal, new Mobo: Gigabyte GA-81848P775-G>3.0ghz P4>1g DDR 400 ram. In doing a fresh install with XP Pro, which service pack should I install 1 or 2?
The reason I may be doing this install is that I've tried everything to get rid of snaps and crackles when using Logic Platinum5.5.1, primarily running the EXS24 sampler.
First I'm going to try and re-install Logic, but if more drastic measures are necessary I may start fresh and be very methodical with the install.
And I have (3) HDD installed: 1 IDE1 for OS, 2 IDE@ for the sampler and 3 SATA for Audio.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

Anyone with knowledgable of Logic EXS24 have any suggestions I can try before I do the total install?

DON'T INSTALL SERVICE PACK 2! It is only important if you use your computer for the Internet. So far I do not know of any hardware/software that requires service pack 2. It only contains more code to keep ass holes out!
Again, you may need to try to adjust buffer levels. No hard and fast rules here. Experimentation is necessary.
