Are there any other frequency-selective (singleband) compressor plugins out there?

Thanks.

the best ones i have used, to date, in the software world, are the LA2A and the 1176 by UAD. the really are unreal, and unlike, other copies, these ones are truly like, the originals, i have had the chance, to compare them, and its uncanny the similarities....unreal..

save your self, the trouble, and just get them. after a couple of years, of trying to find a good compressor, and eqs, i realized that alot of the 3rd party plugins, dont really do what they are supposed to at times

wavline1820m,

I have uad studiopack and I like those plugs too!! It's just that they are NOT frequency-selective. (I don't know if that's the right word, my English isn't that good...)

At least all you with waves c1 must know what I mean!

(c1 has a built-in sidechain option that allows you to set a frequency range where the compressor works...)

So, please let me know if there are other compressors like that!

Thanks!!!

I love the Waves C1 compressor, it just makes your tracks sit well in your mix. I know that Waves also have the CLA Classic Compressors; Which include, LA-2A, LA-3A, and the 1176 bluey and blackey. The CLA compressors sound just like the real hardware compressors. At the Waves website you can purchase just the C1 by itself for $64, or purchase the CLA Classic Compressors for $375.
