i have a roland ed pc 300 midi controller. i downloaded the appropriate drivers from edirol.com and ran the install. reason won't see the contoller. i checked profiler and the device is present. I'm in os10 and am not too familiar with it. i have done this to another machine and it worked on command. wtf?

Did you run the Apple "Audio MIDI setup" program in the Utilites
Did you run the Apple "Audio MIDI setup" program in the Utilites folder? It kind of does what OMS did in OS9.
You can find it in Applications: Utilities: Audio Midi Setup
You use this program like OMS and select your interface, then scan for connected devices or patch things using the mouse.
Should work after that.
