CAD has some good mics and they have some that are rebadged Chinese models. What are you looking at and what is your application?

My application for the next mic I get is mostly acoustic guitar, some electric, and nothing else. Frankly, I have not scouted out any particular CAD models yet, but I am open to suggestions from this company's mic lineup.

I have several CAD mics. Two M177's, an M179, a GXL 2400, a Trion 7000 ribbon and four older American made CM17 small condensers. I think the M179 is the best "bang for the buck" mic available.

The e100 and e300 also get great reviews although I haven't tried them.

I use my M179 on just about everything, acoustic instruments, guitar amps, drum overheads, male and female vocals, etc. For a live sound gig, the mic works great in a three mic drum kit setup.

Thanks. Yes, the M179 seems well regarded. I will give this mic some consideration.

I have a pair of CAD mics and they are great. The price tag made me sketchy about them at first but they were from a dealer so I knew they were real. They are awesome quality for the price tag. CAD [not the knock offs] has earned my respect in the world of mics!

What model do you have?

I have a GXL 3000 a GXL 2200 and a GXL 1200. They all sound great. the 3000 [in my opinion] is amazing for vocals. The dynamic range is fantastic.
