Hi- I just bought the Zoom H2 that I am using to record college lectures. What I'd like to know is if the H2 can be set to voice activate. The manual explains something like this in the Auto-Rec. section but I am having extreme difficulty figuring it out. What i am trying to do is have the H2 continuously start and stop recording automatically when it picks up/or doesn't pick up sound. All of my cheap cassette recorders have this voice activation option. I find it terribly hard to believe that the H2 does not. Could someone please advise as it is extremely distracting to start a new file every time my professor starts speaking.

You may have to place it right in front of the voice you are looking to activate the recorder. If your in section WW, row 13 your going to get that guy snoring way before you get the intended target.
