Hey all. I'm actually not a musician but found myself in need of a very specific music-related piece of equipment.
I have a tripod and need a shelf-type tray to clamp on to the main rod, of the kind seen here:

This company (quik lok) has some but none are the right size, etc.
I'm not sure where to look for these online, and was wondering where you'd recommend or which specific products you know of that might fit the bill.

There are lots of machine shops (usually called JOB shops) that would make up something like this to your specifications and charge you a reasonable amount. If it works well for your application you could start selling them to people and recover your costs. I would also look at medical supply places. Sometimes they have exactly what you need but made for medical uses. They are usually more expensive than equipment made for audio uses but if it does what you want it maybe worth the cost.
