Just wondering which web browser you all are using? Ive been using Firefox for a few months on my w10home tablet, and there seems to be Firefox updates too often for my liking. So far it's the only program persisting on updates, so I'm looking for something else. (FYI I do have w10pro, just haven't gotten around to updating the tablet) really I don't see the need to update a web browser other than for some security reason.

But.... I also think there are Artificial Intelligence reasons behind (The Mind of Google). Which is why I don't use Chrome but know I will eventually succumb because it is the key to the brain (all the answers and where to buy it).
Its pissing me off that we are simply helping google learn all about our surfing habits so they can ultimately answer everything for us. Yeah, we live in a Democratic Society all right. :cautious: We are all walking , paving a road where only a few get paid for services. I'm all for change but its happening faster than we (the outdated) can adjust.
How many of us used to do this for a living, whom are no longer able to buy the gear we know works best?

We are already at a point of not trusting humans for answers, thus... checking to see what Google says. What better way to map our habit than to build a google browser. Google phone, google google google.

Google has been indexing all our forums (our best of the best) for years and is now starting to post these best answers to queries first.
Google knows what mic is best for recording an acoustic guitar, where to position it and where to buy everything related. And low and behold... there is an ad right beside Google's excerpt (stolen from us just like a sample of a song) pointing to that microphone.

The "short answer" is what humans want now. I mean, who can read or have the time to post a long descriptive answer on a smart phone?

There will be less and less reason to use a human for much other than the skilled labour services computers can't do.

What are humans good for?
Definitely browsing for answers, re posting the most relevant to help artificial intelligence improve the software that keeps the virtual world connected and us all outdated.

6 billion people on the planet all working free for google.
The end result.... how many of us can actually afford the gear we once were able to buy, that google recommends?

My uneducated guess is that the updates are likely security patches... windows does the same thing, as more threats become available, the internet providers and OS code writers are taking action to stop the new threats.
Whether that's true or not I can't say for sure.
I'd like to think this is the reason. I know it's been quite some time since I was faced with a virus... but I'm also pretty good at heading off potential threats, by being careful about where I go, what I download and the email that I open.
As far as farming for data - I think they probably all do that to one extent or another.
I don't believe Google is alone in that regard.
And here in the US, last months executive action has made it easier for marketing entities - both real and bot - to follow people's interests and distribute that data without it being an invasion of privacy.
So it's not going anywhere soon.

Yup, I'd love to hear the republicans full story on this. We all want to take action against the machine, we want internet but don't want to support how they feed it to us. We are all hypocrites because we all use and take advantage of something that rips someone else off somewhere.
We buy (support) cheap Asian products and cry about jobs. These browsers are designed to harvest data and so it goes...

I believe Chrome is google's backdoor method for data mining.

Plus I think its a good (less bloat) browser as well. Which is why its faster, its designed for google and therefore, has less bloat, straight to the mine

I've used Google, IE and Firefox and I like FF the best.
It just seems to run more stable on my system, and without all the extra crap that I.E. has (or had.., I haven't used it in a long time so maybe they've improved). I don't have a reason to use another browser. FireFox works for me, and that's what matters. Maybe I like it because of what it doesn't do... which is to add a boatload of features I don't care about or would ever use.
But I suppose it's a personal preference thing, and maybe it's about familiarity too. If you've been using something long enough, you get accustomed to it, and we don't look for something where we're forced to deal with a possible new learning curve.

Privacy is a thing of the past. I love when the random ads I see are for products I already bought lol. Apparently they can't purchase track quite so easily or openly, as data mine.

I saw a Ted, where the speaker demonstrated that Amazon search and pricings are different if you use their voice command search vs the site. The speaker was saying that voice command is a current AI/data mining avenue being used by everyone Siri, Cortana, ect ect.

It's no doubt we are heading towards a mechanized phase of existence, where organic life and the man made become indistinguishable.

Between YouTube the google search engine, and browser, there's nothing an average person does that isn't all available to google.

Googles got the doors windows and trap doors covered. It's so funny how sci-fi it sounds on paper. "Massive company named google, controls communitcation and data transmission, while building robots"

I was totally gonn bring up Linux... reaper works with it. I'm defiantly making an OS drive w Linux on it. Paying extra for w10 pro, for the ability to disable features I don't want, hurts.

Security in w10 seems so much better than XP! I've got no third party virus scan, and i did all my installs and downloads while online, it's been several months, and besides the optimization, I run the tablet like a normal computer, and it does fine. Lol 8 instances of ozone, while connected to pandora, running Samplitude prox3 on an $80 tablet from best fry.

I'm so far very happy w w10 security and stability. A gear I had from the xp days.

I'll probably see if I can quell the notifications for FF, and I'll probably give chrome a spin at some point since it's getting some love here.

Oddly the most unobtrusive browser I've use to date is safari or Mac/iOS. They must sneak the updates along w the general os updates or something.

I now expect my tablet to self destruct tomm since I gave it a compliment.
