audiokid, thanks for you reply. I will have a look for the sample. But I don’t think it’s a radio signal, I would recognise it.

Btw, this also happens when I have armed all channels for recording. I can hear the music via the output and sometimes that weird sound.

You may have a different problem, but the only time I have heard that sort of sound (a spoiler) is when I've used a DAW in demonstration mode, i.e. without a licence.

Boswell, thanks for your reply. I have a licensed DAW. So that is not the issue. I will also try to reach out to the support of pro tools, see if they know something.

I believe I've heard a tone similar to this which was created from gear in an effect. If you figure it out please let us know what it was!
