Hi friends!
Have you guys used this card? IS it really worth for U$150 used?too much?
How much is it in the USA nowadays?
IS it in the same boat as Alesis DM5, D4 drum sound modules?
Thanks

What do you mean outdated? exactly as happened with those slapp bass at late 80´s?
Oh My God!!!!
The 16 bit D4 samples sound to me a little mud today, but quite useful for some situations. wasn´t it origianlly released in 1991?
:)
I have both the JRV Bass and Drums and a D4. I bought the JV
I have both the JRV Bass and Drums and a D4.
I bought the JV expansion card mainly for the Bass sounds. As with all sounds ... some have dated quite quickly.
Drum sounds can be even more fashionable and so I tend to be on the newer techno and rave cards at the moment. I do use the dry D4 sounds when getting a song started but do often go for a sample later on. The JV can be frustating to use as the drum set doesn't allow you to quickly change drum sounds into the same key notes.
I have not yet found a drum box as good as the Linn was at the time.
If one of the companies made a good drum box we wouldn't need to buy a new one.
AS with all sounds in a box, spend as much time as possible checking the sounds before you buy.
