The Mastering world was well represented as always at this years AES. Most of the usual suspects were there. The show was smaller than usual expecially the display floor. The role of mastering forum was pretty interesting. Also there was a history of vinyl that was very cool. As for new gear the Manley "Slam" looks interesting. Its a mic pre, AD/DA, compressor & who knows what else box. But everything they make is great so no surprise there. The one nice thing about the show being smaller is I got to talk to a lot of people. Sometimes the show is so big it's like trying to find someone at a concert.
