Hi
I'm a singer songwriter producer...I've had lots of material mastered mainly with the same engineer, but I've had a couple of tracks back over the last year that seem very crushed.
I just presumed this was the industry standard but am starting to question the engineer and his ability.
I was wondering if anyone could listen to a track I'm releasing soon and tell me there opinion on the mastering.
At one point 1:54 I can here a cackling on the word ' much'.. as if the audio is going through the red.
I talked to the mastering engineer and he said it's all fine and must be my system.
Just want to make sure I'm.not being paranoid and the mastering sounds ok
