Trying to get a Micro Express that I recently bought 2nd hand set up on my computer. It's the serial port connection version and I think that I need to change something in the device manager allowing the new device to utilize the port. I may also be terribly wrong! I've been getting messages relating to the device as follows...
"System board extension for PnP BIOS" and
"This device is causing a resource conflict. (Code 15.)" I can't figure it out, do you have any ideas? I do have the orig. driver floppies and I'm running WinME. Help!

Serial port device? man that's ancient!!! To be honest you are better off getting a newer USB midi device than trying to deal with an outdated piece of gear.
Make sure that in the BIOS you have Serial ports turned on. Also try adding the hardware via the Add/Remove hardware option in the control panel.
It will not work if you just try and run the driver install by itself.
