But I've recorded some Jazz. And your recording is nice. Alive. Natural. In fact, I usually close most stuff after a few minutes. I listened through all songs from this band. Very controlled stereo width! Made for headphones?
Good band too, BTW.
What's your mic setup?
piano: akg 310 (a/b 40cm)
bass: Telefunken DIbox + electrovoice re 20
drum: akg 2000
voice: sm58

Don't go by reputation for gear. Use your ears.
I was talking to a well-known mastering engineer about compressors last night. One of his clients walked in. So I slipped into the background. The customer had heard we were discussing compressors and told us in an enthusiast voice he really liked the use of the compressors in his music that had been mastered.
When the customer was gone, the mastering engineer grinned. He told me he hadn't used any compressor. In fact, it was a good mix, so he didn't have to do much besides some EQ.

I would have liked the drums to be recorded in stereo and/or have a BD and SN more centered.
It sounds live drums bass vocal.. but when it hits hard the piano sounds direct and detached from the other instruments. Nothing wrong there but I just personally prefer to hear everything in the same space (specially for live recording)
In any case, very good job.. it's pleasing to listen to !
