I am in the process of changing my studio over from simply analog to computerbased digital recording; using the powerbook G4. I am a newbie at this; I've decided to go with MOTU 828 Firewire recording system in combination with Propellerhead Reason 2.0. Just want to push a couple of mics and a guitar at this point. Any & all advise on this choice would be greatly appreciated.

hi bernie!
i use powerbook g4, motu 828, original cubase 5.1 and reason for almost two years and it works perfectly. sound quality of motu is excellent and the mic pres have great dynamic range.I recorded all kinds of electric instruments thru its instrument inputs with great results. the stability of mac with 5.1 cubase is also excellent (reguraly playing and djing from it) . It has all the power i need, and i can work everywhere.
one of the best equipment choices for me,
just go for it, gregor
