Help!
and Hello.

I'm having a horrible experience with my Tascam DP-01FX Digital Recorder. Most recently (today, two hours ago), it has undergone such a mode where I cannot turn off the machine properly, exit song, or press basically any button without receiving a "Not Stopped" message.

But the playback/recording IS stopped. The time dial isn't moving, nothings coming through as audio or anything...the playback is stopped! Yet, I still receive this message when trying to do anything. This obviously can lead to huge problems seeing I was in the middle of recording some important stuff. It seems more of a "locked" mode or something of that sort--the whole mainframe isn't frozen or anything...but it might as well be.

If anyone has any suggestions whatsoever, I will embrace them (the suggestions :D )with open arms and be very thankful. I've got songs saved on this thing that I couldn't live without.
