Just wondering what the uptake would be to intensive training courses on an SSL console ( a few days) and how much you think would be a reasonable fee?

Where I come from, that's called a gig. Every desk I've ever learned, I've learned "on the job", "in the chair"... with the meter (as in 'taxi meter') running.

I dunno... what's your regular day rate? Who's the client?
FWIW, everytime I've learned a desk/automation system, if I'm not spending gobs of time with that desk on a regular basis... I pretty much forget what I learned before I sit down in front of the desk again.
A good assistant is worth their weight in gold at those times... and a bad assistant is usually replaced before lunch.

Best of luck.
