Anyone tried the new EQ for the UAD cards? I was just about to buy a Studio Pak when a couple new plugs came out - figures - so I'm thinking of getting the Ultra Pak to add those as well... Curious as to the sound of the Precision EQ, though. I know it's really new, but hopefully someone's given it a shot already (. . Massive?).

Dangit, I almost bought a studiopak this past week. Now I'm gonna have to go think about it.......

I'll probably splurge for the Ultra pak. Might as well go all out; and that's probably what UA is banking on us to do.

Yeah, come to think of it, I was gonna get that limiter anyway; so this is a pretty killer deal. I have heard good things about the limiter, the plate, and the Pultec Pro will be nice of course. Don't know a thing about that EQ. Probably meant for careful tweeking of the final mix though. Should be sweet! 8-)

Yeah, I got it. Only a minute or so after release (just lucky, I guess :) ).

It's quite impressive - UAD Pultec caliber clarity, and amazingly smooth... The way I was explaining it was that it seems to disappear (not unlike a great analog unit) in the sound... The audio doesn't sound "EQ'd" - It just sounds like it was like that in the first place - again, the hallmark of a good analog unit.

Very "Masselec" in control -- +/-8dB in 1/2dB steps (I would've like to have seen 1/4dB steps for the first few dB myself). Probably the best (I hate to use the term) "mastering" EQ plug I've heard for general bus use. Not the color of the Pultec, not the "surgical sterility" of the Cambridge, just a very nice, transparent, "tasty" plug for general shaping.

Handles a lot more abuse also (probably due to the 192kHz rate) than most plugs - Not that I'm getting rid of my analog stuff anytime soon...

Those crazy UAD folks have done it again. Every time I'm a little more impressed.
