Hello, 1st time poster here. I have a friend who can get me M-Audio studio monitors for a ridiculously steep discount. I've browsed the forums a bit and I don't really see anyone mentioning M-Audio very much...so I figured I'd make my own post.
Anyways, I'm trying to decide between CX5, CX8 and DSM1, which are the nicest three models within my budget (<$400/pr) ...any recommendations between the three of them?
FYI my home studio is a bedroom, approx 8' x 10'

The reason you don't see any posts about M-Audio Monitors is because they are not very good speakers, they kinda suck. If you are on a really strict budget then I say go for the Behringer Truth series, I know they have a bad rep, but the Truth series is actually rather impressive, for the price. Other wise I suggest you save up a little bit more money and buy some nicer Monitors, because those cheaper Monitors don't last, because of the budget quality. You end up regretting the purchase and wished you saved your money and bought something nicer. But some KRK monitors, or some Yamaha HSMs are not to far from your price range, and those are a step up and closer to a professional grade.
