Was wondering if this is worth the 15 bucks. i know thats super cheap but i don't want to get something that records like crap after i get it worked on. thanks! this site rocks!

Seems like a consumer product, anyway. If so, not really worth putting much extra time/care into it. If you really want to get something more pro, (or pro-sumer) you should be looking at brands like Tascam/Teac, MCI, Fostex, Sony, Revox, and even much older brands like Ampex, Scully, Presto, etc.
