Hi people!

I've got a P4 2800 well optimized for recording, 512megs of RAm (will get 1024 nearly) and WinXPpro, and use CUbase sx2. I bought a new audiophile USB because I thought I wouldn't have latency problems. Yeah, when I set a new Project latency is only 3ms and 5.6ms, ok. When I start using plugins and vstis, the thing goes down, so then I finally end having a much higher latency. This card does not have direct monitor, so I can hardly record more new audio tracks without problems.

Does anybody own an audiophile 2496? If it has direct monitor, it would resolve my problems, because the high latency i get is always output latency. I ask cause the web doesn't explain very clearly if it does or not.

Looks like USB Audiophile is not really the "usb version" of the Audiophile, no menus or routing capabilities...what do you people think about it?
