Can anyone tell me if this microphone produces a balanced output? I thought it did but I looked inside and there are only two wires coming from the transducer to the connector and they're not twisted. If it's balanced does the housing act as ground or something?

Like any dynamic mic, it has a floating output. You can use it with a balanced XLR cable into a balanced input. The wiring inside the mic should have the ground (pin 1) connected to the body of the microphone.
I won't comment on the quality of the microphone.
