I am in the process of cabling my new studio (3000 sq ft in Paris, France) with mic snake cables (8 ch. preferably) and I am looking for advice.

From personal experience, I have learnt how big a difference a cable can make in a serious audio setup, would it be in a Pro or Consumer environment. Having done a search on this forum, I can see trusted members like Cucco share the same opinion (see (Dead Link Removed)).

Now my questions:

1/ Shall I expect important differences between the 1ch and 8ch versions of the same mic cable (same brand, etc.)?
2/ I have had very good results with the following brands which I consider to be in the same league despite their sonic differences: Mogami, Klotz and Canare. Do you believe there is a serious sound quality leap with the 2 other contenders that I have also considered [edit:] but not tested: Monster and Van Den Hul http://www.vandenhul.com/cable/bg-mc.htm ?

I look forward to reading your comments and opinions on the matter.

Best,
Thomas
