I'm planning on upgrading from PT24 mix to PT192 HD next year. In the mean time, I will be using Sonar for some apps.
Could I use the 192 HD I/O as the interface for Sonar in the mean time?
Also,
I'm used to the older PT24 mix setup. The new 192 HD looks similar, however, the analog inputs are not the same as the Mix I/O. How do you insert external hardware into the 192 HD I/O? Its all new to me...

audiokid, With HD, you end up having to run DB25 to XLR/TRS/xxx
audiokid,
With HD, you end up having to run DB25 to XLR/TRS/xxx to then set the routing through the 192.
I ended up getting the Lynx Aurora 16's in addition to my 192's. With the quality of the Aurora's and their universal configuration, you might be wise to look at them as an option.........
YMMV

You won't be able to use the 192-i/o as an interface for Sonar.
You won't be able to use the 192-i/o as an interface for Sonar. I can't think of a way to make that work.
Is the fact that the analog i/o is on DB25 connectors instead of 1/4" or XLRs causing you confusion?
