Well, a couple of ways to log in...one is the domain name that you were given and two is the IP address you were given.
Depending on who you registered with and if you registered with them the domain name as well. If you used two different companies....one for your domain name and one for the IP address then you will need to combine them and do a domain name transfer to your website hostee...
I would put your IP address for the website in as the host and then put your username and password in. Once logged in you might need to upload files to the WWW folder to be able to access them.
Then to have people access the files you will need to give them some page to go to or just link directly to the files.
For instance if I put a file on my site I would have the link look like this:
"www.Opusaudioprojec… or .mp3" if that was the case

IP vs. domain name will all depend on if it's a virtual hosting account or not. Some virtual hosts require access via. HTTP to be via. a domain name, so even if you get the data uploaded, you may not be able to access it without knowing the domain name. Any good server should reject IP based access anyways, to prevent errors and needless support calls if they have to rotate a servers IP, etc.
