Hi, I am considering to get floor monitors for practice space to have a full mix in them (except for drums) How powerful do they need to be?
We have full stacks with VHT tube power amps for guitars and ampeg 810 for bass. We run vocals through Peavey Black widow 15" speakers with 1400w Power amp bridged to mono working at a full power.

You can check out our set up on myspace:

Hey man, how've you been?

I think you guys are looking for big and loud, and need them to cut over the volume of your drummer (have you found one yet?); I doubt something like an EON is gonna cut it.

I'm thinking a lower priced version of a UM1/100 or SM500 (or 400 - 2x 12" and a 2" Horn, Yeehaw!!!) is what you'd need - preferrably self powered so you don't have to worry about matching (or purchasing) the amps, etc...

How big is your practice space and what are you looking to spend?

To spend: best bang for the buck. I dont have cash now, but i want to save for them, have a goal etc.
Our space is... complicated. It is unfinished basement with no walls about 1200 sq ft. I mean you can hear everything fine if you stand in front of us. Its just for me to hear everything "equally"...
