Hate to burst your bubble but the kaptain is correct. If you sold it yourself you could probably get 1500 for the mackie with meter bridge and stand. I've had that same set up for sale for a couple months with no bits. I imagine gc would probably give you about 800 trade in on it and they may give you 300-400 for your alesis.

i could try to see what guitar center would tell me and then try selling them other places. I would really just rather not ship this beast of a mackie 32.8. What is the craiglist website? Thanks for the input. Everyone feel freee to express your opinion on this topic.
thanks

There are 6 of these on Ebay right now. Only one has the meter bridge. It is from a dealer and is priced at $1495 buy it now. Un fortunately the market was gutted by these boards when they came out. Good reason, as they did what they were supposed to do without a lot of fuss and most worked well. I would say that right now there arent a lot of them floating as there are only 6 on ebay. I've seen as many as a dozen .
You need to rethink your prices. I dont really see these selling at what you might think they're worth. I doubt I could get 3000 for my Ghost now and its a 32 with all the bells and whistles.
But then, I'll probably keep it and simply upgrade the master section and 8 channels. Cheaper than a full sized console and sonically close( with the upgrades).......Would make a great "B" room setup.

craigslist dot com. Great place to sell stuff but everyone is looking for the deal. Personally, I think you should keep what you have and just add a Macbook Pro or equivalent PC. I can't help but think that the HD24 will be less likely to crash and have audio glitches than any strictly in the box DAW. Regardless of platform. Computers are so finicky. Not to mention you have the ability to virtually seemlessly integrate outboard gear in your setup. You can say goodbye to that with the introduction of DAWS an their inherent latency. At least you know your gear works. There is something to be said for reliability. Just my $.02.
Sure they would. Probably not in your favor, though.
Sure they would. Probably not in your favor, though. You could sell your stuff on Craigslist or Ebay and get more than GC would ever give you in trade-in value. Then, you'd have more money to accessorize.
GC will want to make a profit on used gear. That means they buy low and put it on the floor with a stupid price high enough that you or I can talk them down to a still-slightly-too-high price.
You may as well be the one pocketing the middle-man money. And, before you get all excited about what you think things are worth, everyone thinks their stuff is worth more than it probably is. I don't know what your stuff is worth, and the price you quoted may well be fair. Just be realistic about the value when you try to trade or sell it. Ask for a bit more than you expect. Then if someone pays it, you're both happy. But, if you start getting lambasted with e-mails about your ridiculous price, you'll know it's way too high. Get it at a point where people don't just say "Screw THAT!" and bypass it, (or start those flaming e-mails) but enticing enough that they know it's in the ballpark and can probably talk you down to what you really wanted anyway. And, don't just go by what you saw was the highest price paid for an item on Ebay. Some knucklehead who didn't know any better just set the new bar by paying too much. Or, it was a group who bids each other up and then buys it within their group so they can set the new bar, and then put it back on for that new higher price..."because THAT one sold for that". Ebay is killing pawn shop deals because of stuff like that.
Just my opinion.
