I am curious what the folks who just upgraded to Nuendo 2.0 really think of thier new investment. Honestly! Not hype. I use 1.6.1. Not sure if i can justify the upgrade. I would go to the stienberg forum but I would rather get your take. They seem to have a lot of Whine to go with thier cheese right now.

Tre

I use N2 and love it. Amazing difference. FX channels are a god send! The features of "Always On Top" for every windows is key!

OMF, Open TL and AES31...Broadcast Wave information...you name it! The list goes on.

Indeed the constant nagging on the Nuendo forum is getting sickening. People who don't have it are complaining which really sucks the big one.

They should get it before saying anything, otherwise it holds no water so to speak.

:) That was funny :D .
The copy was fine It had a dongle and all. He was just giving me a preview. His studio isn't made like mine so he wanted to see just how much better of a mix he could get out of something built specificly for recording. He just has a regular bed room. :p:

Well, what may be the difference is that you might not have set up SX properly!

Did you go into the device setup>VST Multitrack and change the disk buffers and sizes to 12 and 256? You'd be amazed at how well that works!

Also the 428 may have played a role in that in some way! It's a great interface..I use mine solely for a control surface though!

I do plan on looking into the new Tascam control surface/audio interface! Looks nice!

I was only demoing the SX so it has since been uninstalled, but I tried the settings in Nuendo and there was an improvment but still glitches were present. What sound card do you use? Originally I had a Gina card and a MTPAV. When I got my new computer the gina refused to install so a buddy at Sam Ash said try the 428 for the money I was spending & if I didn't like it bring it back. I love the idea of a controll surface and when I installed it I never got around to trouble shooting the gina or installing the motu MTPAV. I look at them every day but the tascam is doing what I need for the moment. None of my other songs have this problem even with higher track counts. Mansince this computer came along I got the Gina, MTPAV, and an ADAT just collecting dust.
