I use to think these little audio recorders were neat and could work for audio capture if you only needed to capture in stereo in a remote recording situation. Enter the Zoomt H6. Holy Options Batman! It has 4 combo inputs (TRS/XLR) and a host of capsule options: XY, MS (w onboard MS decoding), Shotgun, and you can even add a option for 2 more combo inputs for a total of 6 simultaneous tracks.

Its pretty cool on a budget or really cool for basic mobile work. The interchangeable capsules seem to be the next big push. Blue Mic for instance is another company making a great interchangeable kit I'm interested in.
I own a few DPA mics and once capsule can cost 4 times the amount of this entire rig, however, that doesn't really mean anything. I would use the DPA for critical recording but this little gem for a lot of remote stuff not so critical. Both are of great value in the right app. This looks really nice.
I'm with Max for tradition. This isn't going to change the way we ever record a band. You need a lot more copper plus in/out's to ever be pro audio ready.
What I really like about this is, home or project recording is getting better and better sounding. There is a lot of music that makes mainstream that was never expected to hit. Who knows anything for sure.

Looks like maybe i am late to the races with this post - seems a few have already been talking about it. I am just astonished at how technology keeps growing leaps and bounds.
