Got meself since 1 week the DMX6Fire 24/96 and overall I'm pleased for the money I spent. Solid ASIO drivers and reasonable latency for an entry level card.
There's only one problem that I can't get to work around: only when playing media files (mp3, wav) from players such Winamp, Win.MediaPlayer etc., cracks appear, and they became much more audible when I installed the new drivers (ver.126). No problems when playing from Cubase or Reason.
I played around with DMA buffer size but to no avail.
Anyone has experienced the same problem or knows a solution to this?
My system:
-PIII 600
-Gigabyte 6VX-4X (latest BIOS)
-VIA chipset (Via Patch installed) ...yeah too stupid at that time... :)

After some hours of struggling the solution was very simple and foolish. I enabled the Sensaura 3D function in the control panel and strangely cracks were gone.
Very strange for Terratec to make such a choice and not document it at all. However I'm still playing a bit around with buffer sizes so the sound can be completely 100% cracks-free even for the bird's ears :)
