Can you use Pro Tools HD hardware with nuendo? Basically just use the hardware as your converter and interface

Well, those people are morons IMNSHO. Nuendo doesn't do all that it is supposed to do on it's own so why make it worse using Digi hardware?
There are too many serious bugs for me to consider using Nuendo (which I do as well as PT HD) for anything more than a tape machine. Latency, graphical errors representing waves, loss of layers, shrinking of sound files through SRC, crappy SRC, etc. The list goes on. Do a google search, visit http://www.3daudioinc.com and the Nuendo user's forums for the ever expanding list.
Now, I do see the logic (npi) in using MOTU with Digi hardware/sessions. That works well.
