I am looking to buy monitirs for a large control room. I have 2500 for the pair. What are the best for that money. I have been looking at Dynaudio BM15A .
I am not sure of the model number, but I heard a pair of Dynaudio's the other day, in a new studio(They were at least twice as large as the new BM6A's, which were being used for surround, in same studio, if that helps?). They were nice, very, very nice - right out of the box. Nothing "stuck out" but the "bad parts" of the mixes we happened to be listening to. Very nice indeed. I wonder if they'll sound even "better"(Hard to see how?), or at least slightly different, after a little breaking-in?
For my tiny room, I would be thrilled to death to have just the BM6A's, though I'd add the "sub" when I could(Same size driver as the larger DA's?), just for fun and the "impressive" factor, as I do no serious work which would ever need it.).
