I've heard some people using them for voiceover that liked them, but to me they never really did the trick without imparting something to the sound which I didn't like.
I think that realtraps has another solution, and one which a lot of folks feel works better.
You know, you could always just build some gobos or use some moving blankets with one of those multi-paneled privacy shades.
just saying...
