Hello yall,

I am presently using garage band with a 20$ Apex(sh*t) dynamic mic plugged directly into my macbook. Once I have recorded I throw it all on logicPro and do the rest of my creations there. Like many others doing the same thing, I'm sick of the horrible quality and wish to spend some money (round 100-150) and invest in my future. I have come to the conclusion that the sm57 is what I want BUT I would like to have experienced/inexperienced people who can tell me about the M-Audio Fast Track USB Audio Interface. Is it just a waste of my money and something that will just take away from the mic? I understand that I need something with a pre-amp in it.. but some people say certain ones are great where as others diss the same one.
