and knowing what you are doing would get you there, roughly in that order

i have a rode nt1000 mic goin into a troft atc-2 mic pre amp goin into a korg d16xd mixer and ive been recording vocals but its no where the way i want them to sounds i dont want my vocals to sound live i want them to blend in with the music kinda like how those rappers vocals are crisp and clean
