Hi there,

Can anyone in here honestly say that he/she doesn't hear any difference when comparing AES/EBU with SPDIF?

...regartless of equipment and/or if you have loads of "jitter-removal/reclocking boxes".

I hear a difference when comparing these two formats, do you?

I'm using the most jitterless design i can get my hands one for the moment and I believe in "as simple as possible" and therefore doesn't have any Jitter-removal in the DAC or in sepperate boxes.
Instead I have extreamly good short cables connecting my gear.

Best Regards,

I find it really depends on the gear and the original signal, the clock etc... Sometimes I can really hear a difference and sometimes I can't. I would suspect it mostly has to do with jitter and how specific pieces of gear deals with it. Right now most of my digital gear runs through an apogee format convert and gets converted to aes. I try and keep each feed to it as short as possible and use the highest quality cables. I also position converters in the racks as close to the gear it's attached to.
