Hi everyone!
I'm searching for some nice and informative book on micing. I've been studying sound engineering at college level for a bit over a year and have had access to quite a nice range of microphones, so I've got most of the basics covered already (like stereo techniques and "bread-and-butter" mono micing). What I'm looking for is something which presents a variety of ideas and gives inspiration for trying something else than the usual stuff.
Does anyone know anything nice? Or would I be better of browsing through the web for this kind of stuff?

"The Microphone Book" by John Eargle should be required reading for anyone that wants to record acoustic instruments. It's full of all kinds of information from basic mic positioning to very technical details about polar patterns and microphone function and design. Some of the best ears in the business credit John Eargle's book with helping them achieve quality recordings. His specialty is classical or orchestral music recording, but he has extensive studio experience as well and covers all areas in the book.

Thanks everyone. I managed to find Microphone Manual... used at amazon for a bargain price. I've borrowed Professional Microphone Techniques from my school library, I thought I'd review and see if seems to be worth since it's (comparably) a tad expensive (but the CD seems like a brilliant idea).
The list of links seems really useful too, although I must confess that I'm not very good at carefully reading longer articles on the web. Whenever I get seated with a book I relax and it works fine, but on the web I just can't seem to do that. Hmm, perhaps I should just print a few of them?
