300$ MAX (less would be nice)
resp: 20hz-20k
pat: hyper cardioid or super.

Also could you recommend a 200$ MAX omni or stereo cardioid for recording ambience?

You're going to be hard pressed to find a good shotgun with the minimal necessary accessories for field recording in that price range. I don't think I've ever seen a true "budget" shotgun mic, in the sense that we've seen a proliferation of budget studio mics as of late. Regardless, I use a Sennheiser ME66 on a regular basis for video shoots, and get excellent results with it. It retails for approx. $175, but that's just for the mic. Throw in another $200 to power it with AA batteries (this module is required, not an alternative to phantom power). Throw in another $260, +-, for a pistol grip. It's pretty sensitive to wind noise as well, so a zeppelin and possibly a windsock might be in order ($380!!!!!!). Man, it adds up quick. But this is the cheapest shotgun setup I've come across. Perhaps others here have had different experiences. I've seen some AT shotgun mics advertised in your price range, but again, the prices were just for the mic's themselves, with no accessories, and the cheapest of those was in the neighborhood of $230.
