I run a project called Gear-Wiki – a recording gear and musical instruments database. My ambition is to turn this into a comprehensive reference for any and all gear and I am looking for like-minded folks who want to help! :)
I've worked on this for about a year now (mostly coding / developing), and have recently started to seek out fellow gear geeks who enjoy reading and writing about gear to help me build the content. The goal is to turn this into a community-driven project, much like Wikipedia (but much sleeker, social and web 2.0), so I would be really excited to see more people who are interested in building an exhaustive reference for the broader recording community.
The focus on the site is on objective product coverage, sound clips, and shootouts. If you are interested in helping, please get in touch. :) If nothing more, please post your feedback and thoughts on this initiative.
