Thanks Dave, the Burl Mothership looks pretty awesome. Anyone using their converters?

gdoubleyou, I've never heard of Acoustimac, I'll look online.
Looks like we're going to finally start hearing some member opinions on the Apollo. A few members have them on order now. Please share once you are settled in with it.

Jeff, hope things pick up for you indeed. Where you live makes up for it!

I'm pretty happy with my basic gear situation right now. I might build some gobos for the studio, and I might redo my daughter's bedroom so that it could be used as a mixing room. If I did that, I'd need to split my current one-room system into two, and that would mean at least conversion for the mixing room. Something like the babyface would be fine, but maybe I'd go higher end.

If things unexpectedly get flush, I'd be interested in some more Royers, and I want to look into the Peluso's...and some sort of 1073 inspired preamp has always been on my wish list.

Things are sketchy at this time, but the "plan" is to add 2-4 channels of Pacifica, a Hammer, Nail and a few mic's... another R84, maybe a pair of 4038's and another 44bx if I can find one at a decent price.

I may try to add another 16 channels of Aurora converters, letting me completely dedicate 48 channels of hardware I/O to mix mode... which might finally allow me the freedom to look at some sort of active summing.

I'd consider a CLASP if it weren't for needing a good, clean 2"... and the part time tech to go with it.

The next big item on the wannagottaneedahave list is the funding to get the co-op label off the ground.

Gonna build some more gobos. I need a good small tube amp. Just a five watter and a good two by 10 which I'll probably build myself. Other than that, I don't need much....cept for a good console/control surface......and maybe a couple more 57's........maybe tack on a nice preamp but that's about it............and maybe a good hardware compressor. Nothing fancy. Maybe a Drawmer MX 30 and that's about it............I could probably stand to get a patch bay after that..........

beyer m160. ugh the 335, i've been talking to my friends about an old one for like 8 years. there's a vintage guitar shop about an hour away that has 12 on stick at any given time. gotta corral the 2500, any play until i find it.. m160 is my next purchase, used, ill have to try it, new i'll have to guess. we'll see.

You'll dig the m160. I have had several over the years, still have a 160/130 combo. Be careful buying used! These mics are kind of delicate, test it carefully! Plug it in with NO phantom, listen to it over 'phones. It should NOT sound nasally in any way. Smooth, but not a lot of output, that's OK. Make sure the "tone" is right, those little ribbons in those mics get outta whack with rough handling. Enjoy!

I would like to get a pair of pencil mics. Maybe Royer MA-100s... Right, Christ? Lol. I also have my eye on the BLA Auteur Preamp. I think it might be a good first external preamp. I probably won't buy anything from February-August. No big projects during that time. I don't have any ideas for the Fall yet.
