Go to one of the fabric stores and check the fabrics out- any heavy fabric will usually do but ask them about it- they know- You have to glue the stuff on and it can be a messy job if you are inexperience.

Another option would be to go to an upholstery shop- they can do it for you- either a furniture or car upholstery place

I was wondering the same thing, my bass rig cabs have a Tolex covering that is torn and has peices missing and I'd like to recover them in new tolex or that carpet stuff. I did a search and came up with this place for Tolex coverings in every color in the rainbow.
