The Phase plug-in from the UltraFunk pack does what you want. It's now bundled with Sonar 3, which is great if you use Sonar, but not so great if you don't...

Waves S1 Imager is another plug-in that does the job. I have no idea if it sounds better than the Behringer or not.

I've worked a lot with Waves S1 in the studio, but it's not what I want... The Edison is so much "more" and can really create "far-out" effects.
I think that Waves S1 is just too gentle.
And you can't really move the center of the stereo image with S1.

Send stuff to a pitch shifter. +10 cents on one side, - 8 cents on the other. Mute the dry signal.

I have to agree with the Recorder Man....

Any piece of gear that gives you what you want is what you should be using...... forget the manufacturers name - and forget their methods of doing business.......

Its an MS matrix, but if you put it in LR-LR mode you can adjust stereo width and move the center around (M pan)
Hey its free, give it a try. They also have a Stereo Simulator plug that might do what you want. The Leslie sim is nice, the Tracker (eq mode my fave) and Dub Delay are fun as well

Thank you lorez... I already have the mda effects, and their sound are, in my opinion, close to the waves S1 ... but I like the Leslie sim. that they have.
Still my favourite MDA product is the free ePiano.
I use that one more often than my Logic EVP.

Also try this if possible on yr set up.

On the stereo return of the track(s) you want widened. Use different EQ's on the Left and the Right sides.Or route the returns to seperate Left & right Mono .

This may help enhance the widening effect in a way you find pleasing
