We've signed four (4) artists on to our label, MB Records and are producing all the albums. We should have 2 of the albums ready within next month. Any ideas as to how to get the music on radio and get it heard by Majors?

Dont' know in the states but in the UK there are organizations such as FastTrak that submit music to radio stations.

I'm interested in this same thing. I might have to make sure this keeps getting bumped

I have the Sweeney book, also. I thought it was a must read for any independent artist. I may go back and re-read it, now

Tim's book is the only nuts and bolts thing I've ever read about starting a label. He is rare in that he has never managed to light up my BS light. I can't say the same about a large number of major label execs. I've met over the years. The average, by the way, is around ten minutes into their rap.

You are STILL going to need to do ALL of the stuff Tim says no matter if you are selling electronica CDs off the bandstand or you have a multi-million dollar record deal as the next Bruce Springsteen with Sony. Nobody can really do it properly for you although there are folks who can do a better job provided that you understand what they are trying to accomplish and that YOU direct them.
