In case you didn't know, the G5s are here.

Read all about it at [="http://www.apple.com/powermac Apple's Site[/]="http://www.apple.co… Apple's Site[/] .

See the WWDC presentation from Steve Jobs [[url=http://="http://www.apple.co… here[/]="http://www.apple.co… here[/] .

Many have speculated Apple's speed test to be somewhat bogus. This is a point I don't really care too much about. I just want it to do the one thing my PC has never done and that is, work like a Mac. I couldn't give an ass and a half if it plays back a million tracks each with 17 SPX90 emulators...cos the reality for me is, almost ANY modern computer will allow you to make music with far too many plugins, tracks and delayed decisions.

I think this is a record, going off topic in the first post...discuss.

It's actually a great design, I think. If you read on, you'll see that the front and back is perforated to increase air flow, lower the noise of the unit, and keep the processors cool. It's a great idea, that may not look as nice as the older macs, but still looks cool, in my opinion. I love the stainless steel body. It's much better than plastic in my opinion.

I agree with Jay on the form factor. Especially when i walk into PC Club and see kits for mounting lights _inside_ your to show of your MOBO...whoa!

My only beef is...I need something _today_. My mixes won't wait 'til August for delivery.

Fortunately, the Dual 1.25 went down in price and I have long cables.
