The composition was actually written just for this machine...its also called The Marble Machine.

If you click on the poster Wintergatan on the YT video, you can actually see how they built this amazing machine and they detail each stage in the build process which took 14 months.

It was uploaded only yesterday and already has close to 3 million views.

Yeah, my friend ( and client) Terry Fairfax is knocked out by the NI Giant collection. He said he's picking it up in the next few weeks... What I heard was jaw-dropping. The expression - from the softest Pianissimo, to thundering double Forte, is really quite something. ;)

Not shilling here... just posting for fun. Love the section at :39, and then again at the end where those notes sound like rain falling... very expressive.

That marble machine is crazy exacting wild mad science! Never mind the wind up jewelry box musical score, the notion that someone would HAVE the notion to design this 11 ply plywood gear driven gravity stricken steel ball aparatus in the name of creating music...what does that say about music? It is POWERFUL!
And so will you be after cranking that thing for a three song set, changing arms of course, for balance.

Thanks for the share, that was a genuine mind exploder!

Analog is BACK baby!!!
