I just got a Samson Servo quad 4060 4 channel amp for free from a friend's uncle. I don't really know much about it other then it is 60 watts 4-8ohms for each of it's 4 channels (seems like it should be lower at 8 ohms, but that's what the manual says online...), or bridged it is 120 watts @ 8ohms x2. What I want to know is if anyone has had any experience with this amp and what they thought of it. Would it be clean and accurate enough for use with passive studio monitors like Behringer truth or krk st-6.
I guess second part would be what would the best match for this amp as far as passive monitors. I have a pair of KRK RP-5's, so I'd prefer something bigger, like 6 or 8" woofers.

It will not yield 60 watts per channel @ 8 ohms in single channel mode, but will yield 120 watts @ 8 ohms bridged which will give you two channels since it is a quad amp.
It should power your KRK st6 monitors (100 watts @ 8 ohms) nicely in bridged mode (left in 1 channel, right in the other, bridged.) Remy always recommends a higher powered amp than what the speakers call for but I can't remember what % over.
A friend uses this amp to power Galaxy Hot Spot monitors and the sound seemed fine, though those monitors are not exactly reference speakers.
