I dove in head first ! I'm a musician songwriter hooking up a new digital studio,and I need some advise on routing my signals through my equip. Behringer FX 2442 digital board, stereo 31 band EQ, dbx stereo comp. limiter, Lexicon MPX 500 EFX processor, 48 point balanced patchbay,Pro Tools 002 Rack. Any help would be greatly appreciated by this old analog guitar picker. Thanx ; RonnieC

Welcome to RO ....

The mixer should hook up to the 002 via the lightpipe connection ... to and from the 002

The outboard gear should be patched to the bay in a non normaled configuration with the inputs going to the top row jacks and the outputs to the bottom row directly below the inputs, to be routed to the inserts on the mixer channels when needed via insert cables, with the exception of the Lexicon which should be hooked up to the mixers aux sends and returns via the patch bay in a normaled configuration. Jacks on the top row should be designated / connected to the aux sends of the mixer and the bottom row directly below them should route to the input of the the lexicon .... the next pair of jacks on the top of the PB should be for the outs of the Lexicon and normaled via the jacks below to the aux returns of the mixer.

Do a search if you need more info ... someone posted a detailed post on the implementation of patch bays a short time ago ...
