What's the crack with re-amping a bass signal for example. I've recorded through a DI and now want to send that signal to an amp. As the signal is obviously now line level will that damage the amp? Or can I still just patch from tape into the amp head?

Thanks

I have had success simply patching a hi Z signal to the amp directly. This should be a pretty short cable run though. If you want to run the line more than 10 feet, you should probably use a balanced line and a transformer at the amp to convert it back to high impedance. Little Labs makes a good DI / Reampbox to acomplish that.
