Dude, don't be cruel to your UPS...LOL. It's really just a safety net for power outs. Just hook up your main box and monitor to your UPS. If the power goes kaput, quickly save what you have and wait for it to pass. You probably can hook it up the way you want to, but it is just a battery backup. The more you have on it, the quicker it will drain. IMO

I think you may have missed the issue in question. Plugging a surge protector into a UPS system is not a good idea - you can damage the UPS system this way. Use a output splitter >without

Nah, Jonathan, I got the point. Maybe I didn't come across clear enough. Ben wanted to know if it was safe or not and I don't think it is. Sometimes my a.m. rantings are a little obscure to say the least...LOL. I'm kinda picky about my electronics. I wouldn't even recomend an output splitter, but that's just me. I would, however, recomend that if you need more power outputs, get another UPS. Also, if you can run just a core rig with the one UPS, find an affordable generator and go that route. So, in the end, and please keep in mind that this is just my opinion, don't even try to overuse the UPS. I hope this clears up any confusion about where I stand on this. latr
