Hi, this is my first post here. I hope you guys will bear with me and my probably very silly questions to you!
I have a Zoom H4n and I've lost its mini-USB cable. I'm trying to find a replacement and came across the 28/24 awg cable, which I had never heard of before...
As I understand it, it transfers data faster than a regular 2.0 cable? I would like for files to get transferred to my computer quicker, so my questions are:
1. Will this be safe to use on my Zoom H4n?
2. I also own an Airturn bluetooth pageturn pedal, and I've lost that cable as well! Will I be able to charge the Airturn with this same mini-USB 28/24 cable?

A USB cable can't make a transfer go faster than the two pieces of equipment will manage. What a poor-quality cable can do is make a transfer unreliable. Some gear will re-try a transfer if they detect an error, hence slowing down the overall speed.
For an H4N to computer USB port link, I would look for a shorter cable than the one you linked to, such as http://www.amazon.c… this one. That cable should also work for charging the AirTurn pedal.
To increase the effective speed of transfer from the H4N, rather than use a cable, it may be better to get a USB - SD card adaptor that plugs into the computer. You would take the card out of the H4N and slot it into the adaptor to do the transfer. It will then run at a speed determined by the computer rather than the H4N. The adaptors are laughably http://www.amazon.c… cheap.
Your tag line looks interesting. If you wanted to get advice on recording, you could start a new thread asking about how you should get the best results when using the H4N to record your violin playing.

Thank you both!!!! And also thanks Boswell for the link to the adaptor. I have an ancient card reader from RadioShack, and somehow the drive is not recognized by my macbook. I don't know whether it's because something's wrong with my mac or the drive, but the price tag on this adaptor makes it a no- brainer to try!
